I’m Andy Brown.
For 10 years, I’ve been a freelance writer and corporate writing coach. Before I went solo, I had an entire career in writing, editing, publishing, and marketing.
Go further back, you’ll find I started this whole journey teaching composition in classrooms and university writing centers.
Go even further, you’ll find that my parents, both educators, taught me the most important lesson about teaching — it’s not a job, it’s a vocation.
That’s how I got here. I love writing. I can’t imagine a day gone by where I don’t write. But also, education is part of my heritage.
So half my business, I’m a practicing writer. I experience the same day-to-day challenges as you, challenges that require us both to problem-solve as best we can. The other half, I’m helping people improve their writing skills, based on what I’ve learned. In other words:
I write, I learn,
I teach what I’ve learned.
